Send Money To Your Friends/Families in Nigeria: Introducing 'WahabPay'

Written By Admin on Saturday 20 June 2015 | 8:55 am

Millions of people work in one country to support a family in another, or sell products and services to consumers in another country, or work for a company based in another country. The list goes on — there are many reasons why you might need to send a small amount (less than $1,000, say) overseas. If you are one of those people, and you live anywhere outside Nigeria, odds are that you rely on either Western Union or MoneyGram for money transfers and these usually cause family members some hassle.

What is WahabPay?

WahabPay is the brain work of Abdulwahab Aliu, an interpreneur who find the need to make international money transfer easy and accessible to families and friends who are not internet savvy and also reducing the stress of going to banks to initiate the somewhat long processes of collecting money relatives or friend abroad sent to you.

How does WahabPay works?

WahabPay through PayPal allows someone outside the shores of Nigeria to simply:

1. Go To WahabPay webpage, read the instructions for sending money.

2. Click on Checkout with PayPal button, enter the amount you want to send and choose billing options (paypal option for paypal users, or credit/debit card) and complete payment.

3. Send email/text containing sender's name, amount sent, receiver's Nigerian Bank Name, Account name & Number + Phone Number to WahabPay's dedicated email address/phone number.

Normally, PayPal notifies us of every new payment received, we only match the details you provide via text with what PayPal sends to us in order to know who to forward the received funds into their account.

How Soon Will My Family Receive the Money?

Immediately the money is cleared from our paypal account into our Nigerian Bank account which usually takes up to 4-6 Days, we then transfer directly into the receiver's Nigerian bank account. SIMPLE

What if this is scam?

We understand that there are a whole lot of scammers on the internet but the service we are offering is subject to paypal's sanction if we ever attempt to scam a client. PayPal will ensure your money is refunded or our details forwarded to relevant anti-fraud agencies after which our paypal account is deleted.

What is WahabPay's Charge?

WahabPay charges 10% of every money sent. For example, if you are sending a $100. 10/100 × $100 = $10 [service fee]
We usually advice customers to add up the 10% service charge during payment. For example, if you are sending $100, include the 10% service fee = $110

What's WahabPay's Currency Conversion Rate?

We are always up-to-date with currency exchange rates in Nigeria. As such, we pay the receiver what is obtainable in other financial institutions as at the time of transaction.
