Ladies, why will a single girl friendzone a guy she obviously likes?

Here is a honest question my friend seeks answer for from our female readers. Like it actually hurts, knowing fully well that a girl likes you but she will still have you languishing in her friend zone.

Please why will a single girl want to friendzone a guy she sees as a good friend and a good person instead of just allowing him be her boyfriend. Help my friend find an answer.
