Various views have been depicted scholarly or unscholarly, professionally or unprofessional, sentimentally or unsentimentally, formally or informally, officially or unofficially among other reasons as regard to the fate of this political struggle among the emerging sole contestants of the respective able political parties serving as interest orchestrators. However with resilient efficacy, I shall also gather my own perceptions towards the auspices of this election with sumptuous reasons and analysis.
The predefined days of the heyday of Kogi State Election demonstrated an unusual political praxis in the history of Kogi State politics. The fear of every aspirants in this political struggle became painstakingly intense due to so many reasons and among such, is the ever Mass Agitations of Power Equity and Power Shift, amply demonstrated by the people of Kogi Central and Kogi West also is the audacious exhibition of the Anti-Corruption War being executed by the present administration of the number one Nigeria citizen, His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
As the politicking aura grows extremely intense today which is the mayday, the ever astute Indigenes of Kogi State should be aware that the nitty-gritty behind them giving their mandates to any of the contestants is for no any other reason except for a reason of, "Come Back For We have No Choice: Our Choice Had Been Raped".
In the case of this year Kogi Decides, the battle field is drawn between three major contenders from three major political parties. Prince Audu Abubakar, a two time Governor representing the sole candidacy of The All Progressives Congress, (APC) . Capt Idris Wada, The Chief Executive of the Incumbent Government representing the sole candidacy of The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) and Thirdly, Dr Philip Salawu Omeiza, a former Deputy Governor (2003-2011) representing the candidacy of Labour Party, (LP).
The aforementioned intuitions postulated the realities that the major contestants by the glory of fortune had held the administrative office of Kogi State, meaning that they are tested, and but at the end of this day exercise we shall know who the people of Kogi have trust in.
Justifying my perceptions only on the three named major aspirants, I hereby introspectively question the fact that, Who Shall The People of Kogi Trust?
His Royalty, Prince Audu Abubakar pronounced an overwhelming structural service during his time has an Executive Governor of Kogi State. He is a two time Governor dignifying his appointment under the then Military Cum Civilian (Diarchy System) Administration of Gen Ibrahim Badamisi Babaginda in the year 1992-1993 and his glory trust ship after the return to civil rule as an Executive Governor of Kogi State in the year 1999-2003. It's axiomatic and indisputable to state the fact that the then Administration of Audu Abubakar in the history of Kogi State as a component unit of the Federal Republic of Nigeria exhibit an effulgent, terrific, and glamorous traits of dynamical outstandings. However his administration never was ponder free, for not all that glitters are gold. Such ponders are what contributed to his downfall and his abstinence from politics for good ten years. His return is like the coming of Christ to some people and like the coming of another werewolf to other people who is ready to resuscitate his reputation from the mud of arraigned fraud of 11 billions of naira utilizing what ever available means.
The likes of His Excellency administration, Capt Idris Wada, has been tagged as a disaster to our beloved state. Firstly, I will depict the fact that, his emergence as the executive Governor of Kogi State was surrounded amidst the mystery of irregularities, complications and entanglements. The transition of our dear conflux island from the reputation of a fast growing state to a reputation of fast retrogressive state is considered to be championed by him. Despite his conditional prowess, he is being known to be the only ever respectful, kind and humble Governor so far. His return mostly is desired by the able government workers because of the phobia of sack threats and permanent salary non remittance of a new administration. Despite his major odds, However I considered his come back rate as fifty-fifty with his tribe mate Prince Audu Abubakar as they both fly the ban of the Igalas.
Lastly, Dr Philip Salawu Omeiza considered as a umpire between the two craving lions of the Igalas, is renowned as the only manifestator of power shift. He is an unexpected project of every shift agitators, for his concerns was put forward after the rape of our ever beloved aspirant, Alhaji Yahaya Bello (Fair Plus). His come back is very narrow and could escape his misfortunes only through sympathy vote and shift interest. Regarding him as the only contestant from a different socio-cultural ethnic group and political axis is another factor that could manifest his interest. However his definite deficiency to his political calculation by choosing an Igala tribe mate instead of an okun tribe mate as his debut associates could serve him an unpleasant outcome.
It's worthy to note the fact that, among these three Contestants, the fortunes of this exercise is between the royal hood of Prince Audu Abubakar and the pivot steering of Capt Idris Wada. The both Igala brothers shall portray their benevolent superiority as the people of kogi shall decide who to trust for the task in next four years.
Suffice it to say that the end of this significant exercise shall decide the opt of every Kogites if an accused fraud administrator of 11 billion naira is better than a self weak and slow plan administrator. By our hands we shall decide our lead, I hereby urge every voters to vote wisely and be free from any election malpractice.
Wish you all a Free, Fair and Credible Election.
